  2. Platinum Lounge Benefit. Holders of eligible American Express Cards ("Eligible Cardmembers") may access participating Canadian and International airport lounges ("Participating Lounges") on a complimentary basis. Participating Lounges may change from time to time. For a complete listing click here. To access a Participating Lounge, Eligible Cardmember must show a valid, unexpired eligible American Express Card, airline ticket for travel on the same day and government-issued photo identification in the name of the Eligible Cardmember. Eligible Cardmember's spouse and 2 children under the age of 21, or one travel companion, may enter a participating lounge as complimentary guests. Guest must accompany eligible Cardmember; show a valid airline ticket for travel on the same day and government-issued photo identification to access a participating lounge. Airport Club Program - The Business Platinum Cardmember must present their Card, government-issued I.D. and same day corresponding airline ticket to club agents.  The Name on the ticket must match the name on the Business Platinum Card. Code-share and affiliated lounge agreements may not apply in all cases. The Business Platinum Cardmember must be 18 years of age to enter into the Airport Club Lounge without a parent or guardian where there is no self-service bar. Local age restrictions apply in non-U.S. locations. The Business Platinum Cardmember must be 21 years of age to enter into all Airport Club Lounges where there is a self-service bar. Cardmembers must adhere to all house rules of participating clubs. Participating airlines and locations are subject to change without notice.
  4. Business Platinum Basic and Business Platinum Supplementary Card member(s) ("Cardmember") may apply for a Priority Pass membership ("PP membership"). PP membership is subject to approval by Priority Pass Limited ("PPL") and is not guaranteed. Unless cancelled, PP membership automatically renews on its anniversary date. PP membership may be cancelled by American Express if: (i) the Priority Pass benefit associated with the Business Platinum Card is changed or terminated, or (ii) the Cardmember's Business Platinum Card is cancelled. PP membership includes access to any airport lounge participating in the Priority Pass Program. Participating lounges are owned and operated by independent third parties and their participation and/or facilities can change from time to time. To access a lounge, the Cardmember will need to show his/her valid Priority Pass card and an airline ticket for travel on the same day for the Cardmember and each of his/her guests. At their sole discretion, participating lounges may restrict entry to persons under 21 years old; please check restriction details for the individual lounges at www.prioritypass.com or your Priority Pass Directory provided by PPL. All lounge visits are subject to a fee of $27 US per person per visit. This fee applies to the Cardmember and his/her guests. Lounge access charges can be billed by PPL to the Business Platinum Card connected to the Cardmember's PP membership upon PP's receipt of notification from the lounge visited. Any US dollar charges to the card will be converted to CDN dollars using a conversion rate and applying a conversion commission as specified in the Card member Agreement and Disclosure Statement. Bookings must be charged to your Business Platinum Card. 5 nights do not have to be consecutive nights. 5 nights must be in the same calendar year.   6. Starwood Preferred Guest – Starwood Preferred Gold Membership Business Platinum Card members must phone 1-888-721-1044 to enroll in the Starwood Preferred Guest program and to qualify for Gold Preferred membership ("Membership"). Membership is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of the Starwood Preferred Guest program, which are subject to change without notice. This benefit is subject to change and may be discontinued at any time. American Express reserves the right to instruct Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. to cancel your Membership if you cease to be a Business Platinum Card member. Bookings must be charged to the Business Platinum Card. Fine Hotels & Resorts amenities may not be combinable with Gold Preferred level amenities. Preferred rooms are identified by each property and are superior standard rooms that may include rooms on higher floors, corner rooms, newly renovated rooms, or rooms with preferred views. Preferred rooms do not include suites. Upgrades are subject to availability at time of check in for the length of the stay, provided the room was not booked through a pre-paid third party channel. The upgrade benefit is available for one room for the personal use of the Business Platinum Card member only, regardless of the number of additional rooms purchased. Late check-out may not be available at some properties.
  7. Fine Hotels & Resorts – To receive Fine Hotels & Resorts program (FHR) amenities and rates, reservation must be booked with a Business Platinum Card in FHR negotiated rates and room categories through Platinum Card Travel Service. Payment must be made with an American Express Card in the Business Platinum Card member's name. Room upgrade based on availability. Limit one amenity per room, per stay. Amenity restrictions vary by hotel, are subject to change, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Business Platinum Card members may book up to three (3) rooms inclusive of FHR rates and amenities and must accompany the party as a guest for which FHR reservations are made. In the event the Business Platinum Card member cancels the reservation(s), FHR rates and amenities will no longer apply to any remaining reservation(s). Back-to-back stays within a 24-hour period at a single FHR property are considered one stay. Benefit value based on double occupancy. Actual value varies by property, length and date of stay. $450 value is based on a $80 breakfast credit, $100 special amenity, and a $365 value for 4 pm checkout based on fees charged for late checkout of generally 50% of the daily rate, based on an average daily rate of $730.
  8. Business Platinum Card members must enroll directly with Hertz to receive Hertz #1 Club Gold membership ("Membership"). Membership is subject to the terms, conditions and restrictions of Hertz which are subject to change without notice. CDP # 633306 must be quoted at time any reservation.
  9. The International Airline Program (the "Program") offers a complimentary companion ticket, complimentary upgrade, special class fare or discounted fare on participating airlines to holders of an eligible basic American Express Cards ("Eligible Cards") as described in this Notice of Change brochure or are otherwise identified to you by American Express ("Eligible Cardmember"). In order to take advantage of the Program, the Eligible Cardmember's account must be active (meaning not cancelled).
    1. To receive a complimentary companion ticket, the Eligible Cardmember must purchase a full-fare non-restrictive ticket in first class or business class on a participating airline for an eligible flight originating in and returning to a designated gateway and charge the purchase of such ticket to an Eligible Card. Only select airline(s) offer a complimentary companion ticket. Limit of one complimentary companion ticket per travelling Eligible Cardmember per booking, Eligible Cardmember must be one of the travellers.
    2. To receive a complimentary upgrade to a designated class of service, a special class fare or a discounted fare on participating airline(s), the Eligible Cardmember must purchase a full-fare non-restrictive ticket or an eligible ticket on an eligible flight and class of service originating in and returning to a designated gateway and charge the purchase of the ticket to an Eligible Card. These three offers cannot be combined with each other or with any other offer at any time including the complimentary companion ticket offer. Only select airline(s) offer upgrades, special class fare or a discounted fare. Limit of one complimentary upgrade or special class fare ticket per travelling Cardmember per booking and limit of two discounted fare tickets per travelling.
      Cardmember per booking, Eligible Cardmember must be one of the travellers.

    4. Eligible routes, class of service, code-share arrangements, designated gateways and similar matters relating to travel in the Program are determined by and will vary by airline.
    5. The Program is valid for travel purchases booked and/or completed within designated dates. Designated dates are subject to change without notice and are updated based on arrangements with participating airlines from time to time.
    6. All Program bookings and purchases must be made through American Express Travel Services of Amex Canada Inc. or at any other American Express Travel Services location* in Canada, except as we otherwise permit in our sole discretion. A travel service fee per booking may apply.
    7. The Program is subject to availability on the participating airlines' eligible flights. Participating airlines may have limited seat allocations and destinations in respect of the Program and may have other terms, conditions, exclusions, restrictions and fees. Eligible class(es) of service are determined by each participating airline.
    8. Tickets issued for this Program cannot be transferred or endorsed. Full-fare ticket and the associated complimentary ticket or discounted fare tickets, must be issued at the same time, for the same itinerary, with departure and return on the same flights and in the same class of service. All tickets are subject to all applicable government fees, taxes and charges including airport levies. Once issued, names cannot be changed. Eligible Cardmember and companions under the Program must travel together.
    9. Tickets must show a confirmed reservation for the entire trip and must be purchased in Canada using an Eligible Card prior to the start of travel. No split currency ticketing is permitted.
    10. Prepaid and miscellaneous charge orders ("MCOs") may not be permitted.
    11. Electronic tickets are mandatory and will be issued whenever the itinerary is e-ticket eligible.
    12. Re-routings, one-way, circle-trip and open-jaw itineraries may not be permitted.
    13. International Air Transport Association fare construction principles and rules apply. There are limitations on the number of transfers through the international hub(s) of the participating airline. Maximum numbers of transits allowed through international hub(s) may vary and are determined by participating airlines. Sector and side trips may not be allowed. Certain code share flights may not apply.
    14. Interlining is not permitted unless otherwise stated. Flights on participating airlines cannot be combined under the Program. Flights on nonparticipating airlines are not eligible for the Program and must be ticketed and priced separately. Canadian domestic fares to and from the designated departure gateways must be ticketed separately and are not included as part of the Program unless otherwise stated.
    15. Complimentary companion tickets have no refund value and do not accrue frequent flyer mileage. Once tickets are issued, changes, cancellations and refunds, as applicable, may be subject to a fee per ticket and will be at the Eligible Cardmember's expense. Refunds after departure or "no shows" may not be allowed. Refunds are allowed on the full fare ticket only, and must be accompanied by the unused companion ticket. Complimentary companion tickets are not refundable and have no refund value, however, if applicable, taxes and fees may be fully refundable. Refunds are allowed on discounted fare ticket and discounted companion fare ticket provided both tickets are refunded at the same time. Special class fare tickets and upgrade tickets will be refunded at the original ticket price subject to any applicable fees.
    16. This Program cannot be combined with any other promotion, travel agent discount, consolidator fares, travel industry and airline employee discounts, child, infant or senior citizen fare, frequent flyer award, group rate, corporate rate, MCOs, or any other promotional offer.
    17. Reservations must be ticketed no later than 30 days prior to the departure or reservations will be cancelled. Reservations made within 30 days prior to departure date must be ticketed within 72 hours after the bookings are made or the reservations will be cancelled. If a fare increases after the booking date, the participating airline will honour the lower fare at which the ticket was booked provided the ticket is purchased within 72 hours of the date of the fare increase. Reservations for Air France must be made as per the carrier's Flight Firming Rules & Regulations.
    18. We reserve the right to cancel or change the Program in whole or in part or change the terms and conditions of the Program at any time, for any reason and without notice. Participating airlines are subject to change without notice. Under no circumstances will Amex Bank of Canada, Amex Canada Inc. or any of their affiliates be liable for any loss or damage howsoever incurred as a result of the termination of the Program, the termination of any participating airline or any change in the Program.
    19. All recourse for any and all liability in connection with full-fare and/or companion tickets, special class fare tickets, discounted fare tickets and/or upgrade tickets issued under the Program, the refusal to issue or honour any such tickets, travel pursuant to any such tickets or the failure of any participating airline or other party to adhere to the terms of the Program is as against the relevant participating airline only. Under no circumstances will Amex Bank of Canada, Amex Canada Inc. or any of their affiliates be liable for any conduct, action or failure of any participating airline whatsoever, including, without limitation, for any expense, loss, injury (to person or property), damage, delay, flight cancellation, denied boarding, missed connection, accident or any other matter whatsoever, however suffered or caused, directly or indirectly in connection with tickets, transportation or other services provided or refused to be provided by any participating airline or other party. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Amex Bank of Canada, Amex Canada Inc. or any of their affiliates will not be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages of any kind whatsoever arising from or in connection with the Program (whether in contract, tort, strict liability, products liability or otherwise), including, without limitation, lost revenues, loss of profits or loss or interruption of business.

Pearson Priority Lane – American Express Basic and Supplementary Cardmembers with a valid Business Platinum Card are entitled to access the Pearson Priority Lanes ("Priority Lane") during peak airport operating hours. The Priority Lanes are serviced by the Greater Toronto Airport Authority. Priority Lanes are located at select departure areas at Toronto's Pearson International Airport in Terminal 1 & 3. Access to a Pearson Priority Lane is available to eligible Cardmembers and companions travelling on the same itinerary upon the presentation of a valid, unexpired eligible Card. The name on the Card must match the name on the boarding pass. All passengers departing Pearson International Airport, including those accessing the Priority Lane are required to comply with airport security and customs screening requirements. Priority Lane access is subject to change or cancellation at any time and additional terms and conditions apply.
